The Black Dog's Progress (2008)

Director: Stephen Irwin

Tagline: "WHAT!?"

The sad story of a black dog is told in this technically very impressive animation that was assembled using over 50 flip-books that gradually build up during the story and overlap each other.

It was hard to watch in parts and at one point an audience member yelled out "WHAT!?", also I didn't know where to look as there was so much happening on screen at the same time.

The music was very depressing, but it suited the short very well and it is good to see very traditional animation styles like this still being used. It was hard story to show on screen, but that is no excuse for dog sodomy so I have to mark it down.
